Early rare late Victorian Doulton Burslem blue and white Morrisian ware jug featuring dancers and musicians named after William Morris for his designs. Morrisian ware was produced from 1901 to 1924 and the Burslem backstamp dates this piece to 1901, the Royal Doulton backstamp was introduced in 1902 The jug is in excellent condition for its age with no chips cracks or repairs, crazing is commensurate with age. 180 mm high 175mm handle to spout c. 1901
