Royal Doulton figure The Captain HN 2260 from the sea characters series, 18th century style Captain holding his telescope and reading his map, navigating the new world. Possibly the figure could have been modelled off Captain Cook who was exploring the world 200 years prior to its introduction. Designed by Mary Nicoll Introduced 1965 Withdrawn 1982 240mm tall 9 1/2 inches The figure is in excellent as new condition.
